The Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC) is responsible for the evaluation of security equipment for use by Australian Government departments and agencies.
SCEC Approved Locksmiths
At Salisbury Locksmiths, we are experienced in providing the high level of installation and maintenance as required by SCEC. We are able to assist customers across Adelaide with any security installation or maintenance relating to SCEC standards.
SCEC Approved Locksmiths maintain mechanical and digital combination locks fitted to SCEC approved containers. SCEC also recommends approved locksmiths are used to install locks and associated hardware in PSPF Security Zones 4 and 5.
In order to be a SCEC approved locksmith, we must continue to meet the strict criteria and be assessed as a fit and proper person to qualify. SCEC Approved Locksmiths are required to renew their approval every four years.

Salisbury Locksmiths SCEC Approved Locksmiths Roles and Responsibilities
Advice and planing of Security zones 1-5 and SCIFs and related information. Upgrades of door hardware and security products to correct security rating for zones. Installation repairs for all A/B and C class safes, containers and Vaults. Inspection of all existing zone security, future upgrades and new installations. Implementation of approved restricted master key systems. Advise and consult to all Government, Defence, State and Federal agencies.
